Every worker deserves a safety expert who speaks their language

Over 30% of the industrial workforce speaks a language other than English at homeโ€”but nearly all safety materials are English-only. Hard Hat Buddy is VETTED's built-in AI assistant, trained on OSHA, ANSI, and NIOSH standards, delivering instant safety answers, smart permit review, hazard suggestions, and qualification guidance in whatever language your workforce speaks.

Do I need a hot work permit for grinding near the tank area?
Yes, grinding in a tank area requires a Hot Work Permit. Grinding creates sparks which are an ignition source, and tank areas may have residual vapors. Per OSHA 1910.252, this qualifies as hot work. I can start a permit for you right nowโ€”want me to pull up the form?

Example conversations

Real questions workers ask, with real answers from Hard Hat Buddy.

"What's the guardrail height requirement for this platform?"
OSHA requires guardrails to be 42 inches high (plus or minus 3 inches) for general industry under 29 CFR 1910.29(b). For construction, the same 42-inch requirement applies under 29 CFR 1926.502(b). The guardrail must also have a midrail at 21 inches and withstand 200 pounds of force.
"Is this a permit-required confined space?"
To determine if a space is permit-required, we need to check four criteria: (1) large enough to enter, (2) limited entry/exit, (3) not designed for continuous occupancy, and (4) contains a hazard. Can you describe the space and any potential hazards?
"What PPE do I need for working with this chemical?"
I can look up the SDS for specific PPE requirements. What's the chemical name or product? I'll check Section 8 of the SDS for exposure controls and personal protection recommendations.
"How do I complete my company qualification?"
I see you have 3 remaining items: COI upload (insurance certificate), EMR letter (last 3 years), and Safety Program document. Would you like me to walk you through each one? I can explain exactly what's needed and why.
